How does it work?
The compensation process consists of six steps:
- You calculate your emissions due to your travel and attendance of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum by using the personal greenhouse gas calculator.
- Declare compensations that were already done through your company
- You financially contribute the amount (or the remaining amount) which is required to compensate your individually generated greenhouse gas emissions to the climate protection project.
- The contributions are used to finance part of the compensation project.
- myclimate guarantees quality assurance, monitoring and controlling.
- The project is to deliver certificates attesting the accomplished reduction of GHG emssions.
- Emission certificates used for compensation purposes shall be registered in the National Emissions Registry of Switzerland.
