An important step to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is to become aware of how much each of us produces. The Davos Climate Alliance is a valuable tool to become more conscious - and to be able to compensate. I would like to commend the efforts of the WEF to put the issue of climate change so high on the agenda in a forum that can make a real difference.

Our way of life affects people in poor parts of the world. By compensating for our ecological footprint, we can promote sustainable development. To meet the challenges of climate change, - governments, private sector, NGOs and individuals must all work together.
